A valuable resource for those who try to follow Jesus in the real world
I've managed to listen to all of the messages in this series (some more than once). These sermons are probably most helpful to Christians who have come to believe as adults; Christians who struggle in their walk with Jesus because of the political and intellectual challenges of life they face, or Christians who struggle with what happens in the real world and wrestle with their faith (because of the things they have seen), or Christians who are trying to grow in their perspective of Jesus and need some deeper intellectual understanding of the Bible. ///
I would say that these sermons might have helped me a lot during my university days and especially during the years of my academic research (in the biosciences); not because they have a lot of answer to science questions. but because they deal with many of the far more challenging questions of how to live in the world as an intellectual who desires to follow Jesus and face what actually happens. These are the kinds of things I notice these lectures and sermons typically ministers to. ///
In summary, these sermons and lectures seem most fit for helping those walking in the difficult and challenging journey of faith. I don't know if they will help people who have not made that decision to follow Jesus and require these sorts of "why?"-answers, but I think the lectures and sermons are intellectually stimulating and often informative for those who are willing to think seriously about what life means and how best to express it in their own lives.
