Is there a way to cordially break up with someone?

Is there a way to cordially break up with someone?

A lot of us go through breakups that can be messy. In this vlog, I talk about my opinions on how to cordially breakup with someone.
    __
For more context, this was the message I received:
"I’ve been through a couple of breakups and neither ended well. In many ways, when I look back, it took me some time to get over those relationships not because of the person I was dating and it was taking a long time to get over the person but more because of the way the breakups went down. Ending a relationship with someone you had good times and shared love in such negative manners made me be a lot more careful to letting someone in, more guarded and hesitant to opening up to people, and overall left a negative taste about relationships.

I am planning to end my current relationship, she’s a great person and I don’t want to end in a toxic manner or angry manner like my last breakups so I was wondering if there is a good way to handle the breakup?__

Is it too fast to get married to someone within a year of knowing them?

Is it too fast to get married to someone within a year of knowing them?

A lot of people can seemingly accelerate their relationship quickly and get married quicker than most people find appropriate. In this vlog, I answer the question, is it too fast to get married to someone within a year of knowing them?
    --
For more context, this was the situation a friend recently messaged me about:
A friend of mine has been dating this person for 4 months. They’ve decided to move in together and he’s talking about getting engaged within the next 6 months to this person and possibly getting married 6 months later. Theoretically, that means he would get engaged 10 months into knowing the person and married 1 year and 4 months.

To me, as a friend, I think that they have accelerated very fast and I want to have a conversation with him about the situation.

Do you have any thoughts on this and how to handle a conversation like this?

How to get out of feeling like life is a hamster wheel?

How to get out of feeling like life is a hamster wheel?

A friend recently sent me this message: "I've been out of school and a working professional for several years now. Recently, life has been feeling like a hamster wheel. The same repetition of weeks over and over again. Any advice on getting out of this feeling?"

In this vlog, I talk about a couple strategies and reflecting questions you may want to ask yourself to escape the hamster wheel feeling.

I'm open to interviewing people again!

I'm open to interviewing people again!

Hey guys, hope everyone’s been well. I have something somewhat exciting to announce - I’m open to interviewing people again!

Last year, a couple times, people reached out to me and said they had someone that they thought would be great on the podcast. At that time, I just didn’t feel right interviewing anyone knowing I wasn’t consistently putting out content and declined those.

In reflection, I realize - I think that came from this culture we have internally of either being all in or all out when in reality any positive act in the world is a positive act and is good.

I share my thoughts on the all in/all out culture and my belief that we need to create healthier relationships with being in the middle.

Again, to be clear, I don’t have the bandwidth to reach out like I used and schedule 52 guests a year, but if anyone out there is watching and knows somebody that would be a great fit (have a unique life story, especially related to mental health, and/or is someone who has found success in their career and can share life lessons/wisdoms from their journey), please feel free to message me, I’m happy to have them on.

Link to the video is in my bio!
