Embracing diverse accents in an inclusive learning environment

Welcome to our podcast! In this episode, we look into the fascinating topic of the challenges faced by international students in their learning journey due to not speaking with a native English accent. We explore the various hurdles they encounter and the impact it can have on their academic experience.

But it's not all about the challenges. We also shed light on the empowering strategies that can be implemented to foster an inclusive learning environment. Our aim is to ensure that every student's voice is not only heard but celebrated, regardless of their linguistic background.

    Voices featured in the podcast:
Iris Wing Tung Tam: Alumni BSC social work student who graduated in 2021
Victor Anderson: Currently in the final year of his MSc in Social Work
Dr Echo Yuet Wah Yeung: Associate Professor in Social Work.
