She is one of the hottest stars taking Australian Stages by storm, whether it be in musicals or in her own right as an performing and recording artist.

Casey Donovan has sung her way into our hearts since 2004 and she joined Rach and Dean this morning on JOY Breakfast.

Casey is thriving in all aspects of her life and we were thrilled on Lesbian Visibility Day that she took the time to share her experiences with us as a media personality and out and proud Australian sweetheart.

As part of Lesbian Visibility Day today, Rach and Dean wanted to share some of the diverse lesbian voices in our communities, so they welcomed onto JOY Breakfast the current titleholder for Sydney Ms Leather – Is.

Often when we think about leather in our spaces and communities they image is dominated by “The Blue Oyster Bar’ or ‘Tom of Finland’ narrative of men, but Is is no stranger to working with communities to elevate and celebrate the diversity and intersectionality of who we are.

Each year on April 25th, ANZAC Day commemorative services are held at war memorials at dawn – the time of the original landing in Gallipoli.

Rach & Dean were joined by academic and author of ‘Pride in Defence’, Dr. Noah Riseman as they discussed the history of our rainbow community members in the military, and ANZAC Day.

Anzac Day is a national day of remembrance, commemorating those who have served and died in military operations.
