027 Tilly Martin and Stuart Birley on mental health in the workplace
Today episode delves into the lives of my wonderful colleagues Tilly and Stuart.
As part of mental health awareness week we talk about wellness the in the workplace, a conversation that has previously been overlooked but is now gaining traction.
This insightful and light-hearted conversation talks about the how mental health can be seen as a spectrum between 'mental health' and 'mental illness' and how we usually sit somewhere in the middle of this spectrum and how purpose, meaning and drive may help keep us stable.
We also explore some signs of poor mental health to watch out for in yourself and also those around you such as your colleagues, friends and family and how you can approach both situations.
Finally, we acknowledge just how daunting it can be to open up and about mental health, particularly at work, and come to the conclusion that there is in fact a lot of benefits to speaking up about your mental health.
