    2021 prospectus with coach Paul Peterson & Sacramento State preview

    The RebelCast is back and we are preparing for the second season of DIvision I football for the Dixie State Trailblazers. Host Jake Hatch kicked off the show with a look at the season-opening game Saturday night for Dixie State as Troy Taylor and Sacramento State come to town with plenty of question marks as the teams square off at Greater Zion Stadium (7 pm on ESPN+). 

    Hatch then caught up with Trailblazer head coach Paul Peterson to talk about the upcoming season as he and his program take on one of the most-challenging slate of games in the entirety of the FCS subdivision. Coach Peterson explained what the new WAC affiliation will mean for his team in addition to highlighting some of the players he expects to shine this fall.

    Finally, the show wrapped up with a look at where other Trailblazer teams are in action this weekend.

    Jake Hatch is back with the RebelCast with Week 3 of the spring season on-tap. Hatch took some time to recap the Trailblazers 36-29 loss to New Mexico State last week and shared his takeaways from the loss as DSU dropped to 1-1 on the season.

    Previewing New Mexico State week for Dixie State in football & basketball

    Jake Hatch is back with the RebelCast with Week 2 of the spring football season on tap as Dixie State (1-0) head to the Sun Bowl in El Paso, TX to take on New Mexico State (0-1) Sunday afternoon. Jake shares thoughts from Aggies head coach Doug Martin and Trailblazers coach Paul Peterson as they prepare to square off along with players from NMSU to take note of.

    Attention then turned to the hardwoods as the Trailblazers' men's basketball program will wrap up their inaugural season in the WAC Friday and Saturday night when they take on New Mexico State at Burns Arena. Jake talked with DSU senior Dason Youngblood about this season and what he's learned in the transition period that he'll carry with him the rest of his life.

    Tarleton State game preview with Texans PxP Voice Byron Anderson, talking hoops with Jon Judkins & FCS Week 3 look-around

    Jake Hatch is back with another episode of the RebelCast as Week 1 of the Dixie State football season has, at long-last, arrived with the Trailblazers set to hit the road for Stephenville, TX to take on the Tarleton State Texans (2-0) Saturday. Jake Hatch explains who you should keep an eye on from both sides and why he believes the current odds for DSU as a heavy underdog seem a bit skewed in his opinion.

    Jake was then joined by Tarleton State play-by-play voice Byron Anderson to get to know the Texans a little better as Dixie will face them twice this season. Jake then took a look around at other games of note in Week 3 of the FCS season with local rivals Weber State and Southern Utah set to kick off their own football seasons in the Big Sky Conference.

    Finally, the podcast wrapped up with some Dixie State basketball as men's head coach Jon Judkins joined Jake to talk about how the Trailblazers debut season at the Division I level has gone. Coach Judkins laid out the lessons he's learned, what he has seen from his squad this season and why he's optimistic for the future of the program.

    Tyler Almond talks Dixie State's defense, adjustments being made to the Trailblazer's fall slate & FCS Week 2 preview

    Jake Hatch is back with another episode of the RebelCast as the Dixie State football program gets closer to kicking off the new era of Trailblazer football a week from Saturday in Stephenville, TX against Tarleton State. Hatch took some time to look ahead to the fall schedule with some adjustments being made by Dixie State for their first full season of games beginning in September.

    Jake was then joined by Dixie State defensive coordinator Tyler Almond to talk about how spring practices are going just over a week out from the season-opener. Coach Almond explains where he wants to see improvement from his unit as they finally take the field a week from Saturday and shares a player or two who may surprise fans this spring outside the known commodities in the ranks.

    Finally, the podcast wrapped up with a look at the Week2 of the spring season in the FCS ranks with the Missouri Valley Conference kicking things off with multiple big games and a game Dixie State fans will want to keep an eye on as Tarleton squares off against New Mexico State in El Paso on Sunday seeing as those two programs make up the first three games of the Trailblazers schedule this spring.
