It's Shavuot! This episode Rabbi Becky and Daniella Rabbani planned to discuss Shavuot, the wheat harvest and holiday of revelation, receiving the 10 Commandments on Mount Sinai. It also happens to be King David's Birthday. Did you know that King David was a red head? Well Daniella and Becky dive in about appearance and stereotypical portrayals of Jews in the media, discussing the recent hot-topic of Bradley Cooper playing famed M.O.T composer Leonard Bernstein with a prosthetic nose in "Maestro." What lessons can we learn and relate back to the Book of Ruth and King David. How do we choose better and choose to live Godly lives without offensive tropes? 

This week it's Lag B'Omer, the holiday you may have never heard about.... when we celebrate light, fire, and learning. Counting the 49 days between Passover and Shavuot can be a sad time until we get to the 33rd day, or Lag B'Omer, when we celebrate love, light and lots of stuff (including Daniella's wedding anniversary). Learn about the great Bar Kochba Revolt, Shimon Bar Yochai and our understanding of what it means to be in this transition period between freedom and elation - when we get the Torah.
