Continued wishes for a Happy Pride month!!!

On the idea-plates for consumption this week - ‘We look after our school environment and materials’

This is, perhaps, the most complicated rule or aspiration we have talked about so far and we are therefore providing you our longest episode yet!

How important is it that the children learn to respect the environment? How far should we be held accountable for damage done, vs how responsible are Global corporations?

How important is it to make your bed? Who said it first – Jocko Willink or Jordan Peterson? Does Žižek’s assessment of Greta mean she is actually the ideal person to champion climate reform? How can we help?

How important is university architecture and public art, in terms of Nobel prizes?

Who is responsible for the ‘disposable’ cultural mess in which we find ourselves?

And how on earth does Bill Burr taking a bath relate to the end of the world?

This week’s competition involves the wisdom of Giovanni. Write in and tell us how far into the podcast it is when Giovanni drops this beautiful pearl of wisdom - ‘The ugliness you see is the pain you feel’

NASA provides lots of information on climate change here - https://climate.nasa.gov/vital-signs/arctic-sea-ice/

Joe Rogan has a podcast on Youtube and Spotify. He is rumoured to be 5 feet 8 inches tall.

Marc Maron’s specials are on Netflix and are very funny. The bit referenced in our session comes from End Times Fun - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PdgrEGFu44E

If you don’t know who Bill Burr is by now, I don’t know how to help you any further.

Sarah Silverman is an award-winning comedian, actress, singer and writer. Find her stuff and it will make you feel better.

The song which Bob referred to is here, and is indeed  by Buck 65 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2TlzG4RmaGQ

Toby Ord is a senior research fellow at Oxford. His book ‘The Precipice’ can be ordered from his website - http://www.tobyord.com/

Giovanni's book 'Psychology as Ethics - Reading Jung with Kant, Nietzsche and Aristotle' is published by Routledge.

We love hearing from you so please keep sending your questions for future episodes, comments and feedback- -
