Managing the Process of Change Season 4 | Ep. 2

Managing the Process of Change Season 4 | Ep. 2

    SUMMARY
Describe your personal experience with change in one sentence or less. Can you do it? Not so easy is it!? We kick off the episode by reflecting on this question to situate ourselves and our mindsets as we consider the change management process.
In this episode, we break down the change management process into its key phases and explore real-world examples to illustrate each phase and its significance. We also introduce various change management models and frameworks (e.g., ADKAR, Kotter's 8-Step Model) and discuss the pros and cons of different approaches.
We reflect on the development of our change management model and talk about the importance of simplicity. Sinogap Solutions Change Management Model has 3 stages: 1) current state (what is and isn’t working), roadmap (how do we engage people and processes to move towards the desired future state), and future state (where do we want or need to be/go). We also share the importance of crafting a vision statement to help articulate the need for change and desired outcome to inform and build awareness in others: “Because of (issue/challenge/need) a (change initiative) is needed to see (desired outcome)”.

Intro to Creating Brave Spaces | Season 3 | Ep. 1

Intro to Creating Brave Spaces | Season 3 | Ep. 1

    SUMMARY

We are thrilled to launch our third season of Tackle Tuesday! This season, we will be exploring the topic of “Creating Brave Spaces” and how leaders can facilitate difficult conversations, work through conflict, and foster psychological safety. We will be exploring research and theory, sharing personal experiences, and providing leaders with practical steps in fostering a brave space.
In the first episode, Katie Allan and I unpack the term “safe space” and the reality that we mainly function in brave spaces, not safe spaces. A safe space is when there is 100% trust, you can open your mouth and say anything, and the concern that you will be judged negatively and lose credibility is minimal to nonexistent.
It promises to be an enriching learning journey. Be sure to listen this season.
