    The Cafe Vietnam Special

    The Vietnam, live, cafe Special.

Returning after 6 months, the peasants discuss Joe's experience of life in Vietnam, in a warts and all, unpolished discussion and chuckle about Joe's life in beautiful Vietnam, and events leading up to their return to England.

The pitfalls to avoid, the pollution, health issues, dealing with locals, cockroaches, food and Angkor -Wat!

And see if you can spot Joe's Vietnam Dilemma.

Recorded in a genuinely noisy Liverpool cafe, so please excuse the incredible noises around us. Bear with it! It is worth it! It does quieten down after a few minutes..

Plus a bonus book review of SPQR by Mary Beard.

    Happy listening..

No frills episode- Refreshingly brief, concise ramble through modern life

No frills episode- Refreshingly brief, concise ramble through modern life

This time the peasants bring you a condensed and succinct effort. We discuss choosing a barber, going up Helvellyn mountain by the Striding Edge route, events around the world such as the rising cost of living and the abortion ruling in the USA. 'Are we entering a new post-covid era and what will this mean?' 'Are religions days numbered?'- are just some of the topics discussed (albeit a break neck speed..)

    Book and podcast recommendations.

Just a light hearted look at modern life by two average guys.

Apologies for just how messy this episode is. The next one will be better!
