    K RE-PRESENTS: Four things I learned in 2020...
    PHEEEEEEW!!
It's the last day of 2020, the last episode of @representpod in 2020!  In this solo episode, K looks back at the lessons that remained constant in 2020. Summarising them to four biggest lessons of 2020. These are:
    1. Infinity; I am infinite
    2. Letting go; the importance of
    3. Grief; how to let grief be
    4. Communication has always been key
With the pandemic, the national and global lockdowns, losing my grandmother, family, relationship and friendships... so many things that can happen any time/year, but with the world sort of on a stop, everything that happened was to somewhat an extreme. Every little thing was magnified and demanded time to be felt and seen for what it is.
I reflect on these four lessons and how they forced their way into my life. Its a funny, intimate and emotional episode.  Thank you guys so much for being on this journey with me. Happy New Year's Eve and Complements for the New Year!

K sits and chats to Jamila Metadad, an inclusive education advocate, mental health warrior, and all-around fluid and beautiful human. Jamila is the founder of BUILD-Education, an organisation that aims to build bridges and make education inclusive and accessible.
They talk 2020, the goodness that came out of a heavy and deadly year. They get into some of their lessons learned in 2020, checking in with each other and get into the question of "how are you, really".
They also dwell into the importance of being kind to yourself as a person, understanding and getting to know people for being people and not in relation to the roles they play into our lives.  This and so much more.

OMPHEMETSE MANANA RE-PRESENTS: Life after university + privilege

OMPHEMETSE MANANA RE-PRESENTS: Life after university + privilege...

IT IS ALMOST A FAMILLY AFFAIRS TING!

K sit and chats with a good friend, Omphemetse aka OMP Manana! They check in with each other, chat life after university and the ups and downs that come with not being a student anymore...basically being a newly "ordained" adult with monetary responsibility and such. They also get into representing life from a privileged point of view and a non-privileged point of view.

The conversation is a little uncomfortable and takes too many detours, but is a conversation worth having.

Hope you guys enjoy it and will let us know how you find it.

Regarding the purpose of their work Mercy states:

"I have a very simple purpose for the things I make: studying and conveying the intricacies of Black, Queer and Trans intimacies. I believe where we rest in our most intimate moments, whether these are moments of interpersonal dysfunction or tenderness, is deeply sacred. And storytelling through art offers ample opportunity to venerate that sacred space. Art also allows us the room to cultivate affirmation and perhaps sometimes even healing for the ways we navigate intimacy. My work seeks to explore these avenues of veneration, affirmation, and the facilitation of prospective healing as expansively as possible."
