Welcome to Can Black People Grow Hair? A podcast created to bridge the racial gap between the Black and white communities by inspiring intentional engagement, and vulnerable conversations. This is a place where we meet each other with curiosity, and where we talk WITH each other, not AT each other. Where we both bring something to the table, so that everyone leaves full.
If you're familiar with the sometimes awkward exchange between an exasperated Black person and a bewildered white person, then you're at the right place! Let's work together so that we build bridges, not walls.

Making Enemies Out of Differences
How creating enemies out of our differences can spark suspicion that can result in us isolating ourselves from one another, but that if we’re willing to lean into one another we’ll find out that we have more things in common than we might of previously assumed.
-
The Secrete Sauce of Antiracist Education
Today we're going to chat about why it's so important for the white community to empower their self-education journey by validating what they're learning through genuine connection with people in the Black community.

Common Sense Is Not Always So Common
In this episode we're going to chat about how to create spaces where we, as Black people, challenge our judgements of those who prove not to know as much as we expect them to. In a world where we have access to so many educational resources, it can be easy to judge why some aren't to the level of understanding that we think they should be at. However I invite us to reimagine what the multifaceted educational journey of another person might look like, as well as how important our role in it is as the Black community... one that can be instrumental in the sharing of the diversity of Black life.
It's time to dig deep and get to building these bridges! Let's gooooo! -
