    On a truly wild ride, Adam Schomer filmed a group of seekers on a visceral, spiritual motorcycle journey through the Himalayas with his teacher, Anand Mehrotra. It is full of lessons for both riders and viewers. 

    Adam also produced the documentary HEAL. He regularly teaches meditation weekends and, also, pranayama breathing exercises on the HEAL Instagram. He is currently breathing life into several more conscious docu-series.

    Surviving Intimate Partner Violence - Tanya Selvaratnam

    When award-winning producer, writer and social activist Tanya Selvaratnam became a victim of intimate partner violence, she got out - with the help of friends and an intimate violence expert. She also went public by participating in an investigative journalism piece in The New Yorker about her powerful abuser, NY State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman. Other women he had dated also went public about their abuse at his hands. Schneiderman resigned from his job the day the article was published and recently lost his NY law license for one year.

    Hear Tanya's journey from victim to survivor to thriver. 

    Tanya has chronicled her story for other victims and their allies in her book, ASSUME NOTHING: A STORY OF INTIMATE VIOLENCE.

    Dr. Eva Smid works with transgender, non-binary and gender non-conforming people as they navigate self-discovery and their way forward with family, friends, careers, and transitions. Eva also discusses the prejudice and violence these communities experience and how allies can support them.  

    Dr. Smid has a PhD in both Clinical Psychology and Family Therapy and is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Florida, Transgender Care Certified Therapist, Board Certified Hypnotherapist, Florida Department of Children and Family approved Parenting Care Provider, and American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and Florida Board approved supervisor for marriage and family therapy and mental health counseling.

    From Dr. Smid: I am an expert on couples, marriage, intimacy, family systems, communication strategies and conflict resolutions, life guidance, gender and sexual issues. I am a professional member of several national and international family therapy associations, also organizations supporting and caring for the LGBTQ population – PFLAG, GLSEN, World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), and a professional member of American Association of Sexual Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT). I also regularly present and publish about topics related to the field of family therapy and transgender care nationally and internationally. 

    I provide comprehensive psychotherapeutic counseling. I apply mind and body – holistic approach. I believe in diversity, non-binary, gender equal, and affirmative approach to therapy.

    Today, Carry The Lantern is missing a New York St. Patrick's Day tradition, Joe Hurley's Irish Rock Revue. 

    Joe is a singer/songwriter and voice artist featured in Keith Richards' LIFE, which won audio book of the year. He's also a prince of the East Village. 

    Lady Eleonor has been to many of Joe's NY Revues featuring fantastic singers, performance artists and musicians. She well enjoyed every one.

    BIO: Jamie Monahan is an award-winning filmmaker, director, producer and actress. She produced and directed ALMOST MAINE at The Shell Theater and produced SWINGTIME CANTEEN (Off Broadway) at Cherry Lane Theatre. Jamie produced and directed the award nominated short THE WISHING TREE, and assistant directed the award nominated short ANATOMY OF AN ORCHID. Fall 2017 she produced and cast the proof of concept for ASTRAL (greenlit by Adaptive Studios) and FLAT EARTH (Sundance New Voices Lab Finalist). Summer 2018 she executive produced TRIAD, and produced BELOW THE BELT. She executive produced, wrote, directed, and starred in LUCID (nominated for Best Pilot at the 2019 NYC Web Fest), a new original sci-fi series. Her latest project LEGACY was a finalist for the Sundance 2020 Episodic Makers Lab.
