As society we tend to run away from the hard conversations that are necessary to have in order to have effective change and this causes a disconnect in being able to truly dismantle divides that have passed down for many generations! Once a week, I will seek someone to have an uncomfortable conversation with and my hope is to have a bigger understanding of the disparities that plague our world. Learning how to listen better, empathize with stories that we cannot relate to, then we will try to always offer solutions. The sky is the limit when it comes to discomfort so buckle up for an hour ride once a week and make sure you are truly taking off your shoes so you can walk a mile in someone else’s shoes.

Amplifying @Kosmicxkarma: The Crazy Misconceptions about Black Alternative Culture

@Kosmicxkarma and I met back in the Kathleen Clay and Webkinz days (who knows how many years ago). Throughout the years we have randomly seen each other throughout the city and more recently through our lack of silence on the topic of systemic racism. See, the plan was to solely focus on having her educate me on the misconceptions that are associated with black alt culture but as usual we explored other connections to this issue. This culture receives excessive scrutiny because of their expre...

PART 2 of Predators, Men, Justice.... Amplifying @ncsafetyalliance_gso: A Focus on Safety, Privacy & Transparency w. Devon & Alexa

This episode is simply what I can only describe as necessary. It's challenging and imperative to navigate the realities of rape, assault, bar culture, rape culture and the general overall safety for people in the community of Greensboro and beyond. As someone who has struggled with navigating the lines of privacy this conversation was enlightening and something that I believe is everyone's responsibility. No one is safe if we can not create a space to address the things that people have a har...

Amplifying @TimothyEugenius: A Conversation on Grief & Loss.

When Tim told me that he wanted to broach the subject of Grief and Loss, I was completely shook not only because of the uncomfortable subject but because the recent loss of Chadwick Boseman and how important this conversation is. WAKANDA FOREVER, seriously though. In this very brave episode Tim & I unpack the heaviness that accompanies grief and loss. We acknowledge that there is a difference in the process of grieving for different genders & races. The dangers of capitalizing on grie...

Amplifying Dominic Vazquez: The Bigger Picture...BLM? Self Love? What Don't We Know?

Dom and I have a enlightening conversation on the topic of Self - Love and how it is the missing piece to the bigger picture that we can only begin to start seeing. We dive into the areas of life that lack a understanding of the benefits of having Self - Love. We consider if the BLM Movement has been co-opted? What even is ANTIFA? The way that self-love is slowed down by co-dependency. Who are the Rothschild's and why do they own all these banks? Why is the world seeming to make the most sens...
