There are a lot of considerations when planning for the purchase of a liveaboard cruising catamaran but none may be as important as the utilization/layout and simply the availability of common areas on the yacht. In today's episode we discuss how these typical common areas on production and semi-custom yachts are laid out and considerations that influence the decision to choose one over another.

Large or small, people choose a yacht that offers the right handling for the conditions they will be sailing in. But are their assumptions correct or are they undersizing their estimates based on bad information found on the internet?

With dreams of spending my life at sea in the lower latitudes I am taking steps to find a yacht in which I can spend the remainder of my days chasing the sunset. This is the first episode in my journey to work through the options towards setting sail once and forall.
