Heat and humidity continue into the weekend before a cold front arrives late Saunday with showers and thunderstorms. This should break the heatwave for a few days. Tropical Storm Alberto ia inland in Mexico producing some heavy rains in parts of Southern Texas. Two other systems are being watched by the National Hurricane Center.

Heavy rain and gusty winds continue. Heatwave conditions cover the Nrotheast and Northern Mid Atlantic west to the Ohio Valley and Great Lakes with several more hot and humid days ahead. Scattered thunderstorms and isolated severe thunderstorms are possible in parts of the Plains, Great Lakes and interior Northeast.

The weekend in much of the Eastern US will be warm and dry. Next week a heatwave gets underway in the Eastern US back to the Ohio and Tennessee Valleys. Widepspread 90 degree highs begin Monday and last all week. The Northeast could see highs near 100 degrees Wednesday and Thursday.

Weather in 5. 6/14/2024 We are seeing severe weather moving through the Northeast and parts of the Mid Atlantic states tonight also in the Plains. Florida rains are slowly winding down through the weekend though another 2 to 3 inches of rain is possible. A strong ridge builds in the Eastern US next week leading to a heat wave of at least 5 days in a row of 90 degree plus weather and little chance for any thunderstorm activity.
