Later, Bernstein and Holmes listened and reacted to Bears receiver DJ Moore's comments on the Mully & Haugh Show about rookie quarterback Caleb Williams' anticipatory throwing ability.

In the second hour, Dan Bernstein and Laurence Holmes turned their attention to the Bears. Holmes explained why he believes Bears president/CEO Kevin Warren might want to stop being the face of the organization's push to build a new lakefront stadium. Cubs outfielder Ian Happ then joined the show to discuss the club's offense "normalizing," the NL Central race, infielder David Bote's return from Triple-A Iowa and more.

In the third hour, Dan Bernstein and Laurence Holmes were joined by Kalyn Kahler of The Athletic to discuss her recent article detailing widespread morale issues among NFL officials. Bernstein and Holmes then pondered how the league will resolve its officiating issues. Later, they reacted to UConn coach Dan Hurley turning down a six-year, $70-million offer to coach the Lakers to remain in Storrs and the college game.

In the final hour, Dan Bernstein and Laurence Holmes listened and reacted to Cubs president of baseball operations Jed Hoyer's interview on the Mully & Haugh Show earlier in the day in which he discussed the club's struggles and its mindset leading up to the trade deadline on July 30. After that, Bernstein and Holmes discussed the Cubs' lack of power hitting and their inconsistent pitching recently. Later, they listened and reacted to basketball analyst Charles Barkley once again joke about his uncertain future at TNT.
