Julietta Dexter:The Queen of Beauty PR Outspoken Beauty

In this episode I'm joined by Julietta Dexter who is the utterly inspiring CEO and Founder of The Communications Store. (One of the most successful brand building and communications companies in the UK if not the world.)

TCS represent many of the biggest beauty brands that we know and love and are behind everything from a brand's sustainability messaging, to their story to the influencers and journalists who talk about them.

I wanted to talk honestly to Julietta about the way that beauty products are marketed and promoted. During our conversation I question the luxurious trips and gifts that are often lavished on influencers and journalists.....can someone be truly neutral in a review if they feel that they owe something to a brand?

We also chat about how things work at TCS and how they are flying the flag for change. They only work with companies that have certain values and ethics, have a Director of Purpose, Responsibility and Sustainability and are on a mission to change the future of the beauty industry for the absolute better.

This episode is a great insight into the steps that happen behind the scenes that are often crucial in making us take that step towards buying a product. It also shows some of the good that is happening in the beauty industry as a result of a strong woman with an incredible ethos for her business.

Later on I chat through some of the products that I have been trialling this week...the good and one that has proven to be a bit of a let down.
