In 2015, Luke flushed his wedding ring down the toilet in a grand symbolic fuck-you gesture to the world and its institutions. Six years later, he buys a new ring, this one encrusted with eleven diamonds, and does it again.

The national election took place a few days ago, and the results are trickling in ever so slowly. This great democratic process has been under severe attack, and a divisive government has pushed its limits further than its ever been. Everyone is on edge, but Luke and Anne are still going to try to have a great day.
