It was an absolute pleasure spending time with, and getting to learn more about, Michael @wh1chw4tch. As soon as you spend a few minutes looking at Michael’s Instagram feed and listening to him speak, you immediately realize he’s an excellent photographer, he’s quite humble, and he loves to engage and contribute to the watch community. He’s definitely creative-minded both in his photography style and in his witty posts and comments. Locally, Michael was one of the pioneering founders of the RedBar Group in Seattle, WA. This episode is a little different than normal in that Ernesto is providing an update of how Bezel Banter is evolving, and he’s sharing what’s to come in the upcoming episodes. Ernesto shares that he’s truly enjoyed connecting with various people and influencers in the watch community, and he would like to continue to utilize Bezel Banter as a platform to collaborate with and highlight various people in our community. He also talks about being in San Diego during the last week of October for work, and that he’s trying to find some time to watch the most recent James Bond film “No Time To Die” on the big screen. He’s a huge fan of the James Bond series and can’t wait to see how they highlight the Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Co-Axial Master Chronometer, 42mm 007 Edition throughout the film.

Ernesto has also been receiving a couple of requests for a State of the Collection (SOTC) review. As Bezel Banter is evolving, so is Ernesto’s taste in watches, and he feels that he needs to streamline his collection prior to doing a SOTC. Therefore, he will be looking for a good home for some of his watches that are not longterm in his collection.

Although Henry and Ernesto haven’t known each other for a very long time, you could definitely hear these two enjoying their conversation about watches, whiskeys, and cars. The topics varied from Henry’s passion with Seiko and Grand Seiko, modern versus vintage Porsches, and his inquisitive nature. From his youth, Henry would describe himself as a “tinkerer”, and to this day, he still loves to mod a Seiko SKX when he has the time. It was great spending time with Skip @watchingsrq https://www.instagram.com/watchingsrq/?hl=en and having him on the podcast. Skip and Ernesto have known each other for many years. In fact, they’ve know each other before Ernesto had an Instagram account. These two met many years ago when Ernesto was searching for a mirrorless camera and was doing his due diligence stopping by various camera stores throughout the state of Florida. Ernesto noticed Skip’s watch, they ended up having a great conversation about watches, and the rest (as they say) is history. Skip is a true gearhead who has been fascinated with watches and photography from a young age. He has quite an eclectic watch collection with 133 timepieces.
