    Are you a Beer Bully?

    Are you a Beer Bully?

Vic knows a lot about beer bullies... due to the fact she was one.
She used to force, anyone that wasn't joining in with 'the fun' into downing a pint. She's not proud of it, but her past indiscretions mean that in today's episode you get deep insight as to why non-drinkers get bullied into having 'just one' and what the bullies will say to convince you to have a tipple to two.
Vic and Hamish will also go over some brilliant responses that will hopefully stop the 'Tequila Tormentors ' in their tracks. Oh, and watch out! There are some very bad cockney accents and some unrelated talk of coat hangers in bums.
    It's quality stuff guys!

Feeling Rejected? Here's What You Need to Do!

Feeling Rejected? Here's What You Need to Do!

Rejection. It’s something we all feel at some point in our lives, if not at school or a family member, it can be in a relationship or when you get sober. Whenever it might happen to you, there's one guarantee – it’s painful.
Vic feels rejection deeply. She even feels it from people she doesn't know. Whereas Hame doesn't care too much about what others think. His strong values and self-confidence mean that if people so turn their back on him.... He can handle it without going to therapy.
But, as always on Sober Awkward, they don't have all the answers. So today, these two idiots get an expert to come on and explain what's going on in their tiny weeny brains when friendships get sticky.
Today they welcome David Watson. An expert on personal development and neuroscience.
    David says,
'My core belief is simple yet profound: every individual harbours immense potential, capable of achieving anything they set their minds to. Yet, there's one potent supercomputer that often stands as the primary hurdle—the human brain. Understanding its intricacies, its unique drivers, and the lens through which it views the world is paramount. To unlock its full potential, we must learn to reprogram it, harnessing its power to work for us rather than against us. '
Intrigued? So were we. Listen why harnessing your power, knowing your values and having a 'Million Dollar Mindset' could unravel rejection once and for all.

Why Water is at the Centre of a Long Lasting Sobriety

Why Water is at the Centre of a Long Lasting Sobriety

If you are newly sober, we can guarantee your water intake is about to go through the roof. Tea, coffee and sparkling water are your new best friends - and that can sometimes feel a little dull!
In today's episode, Vic and Hame will talk you through the benefits of increasing your water intake, tackle some of the myths surrounding the water content in alcohol and (try!) and make you feel less dull whilst ordering water in a bar.
We went off on a couple of weird tangents about Binking Ginges and why this episode should be sponsored by the Shewee and for some reason Vic tried to make this episode all about pee. If you know Vic, you will know that this is hardly surprising though...
