HSP & ADHD: A Journey of Self-Discovery
My guest today is Melanie Spence! Melanie is an extroverted highly sensitive person with ADHD and some OCD tendencies. She discovered that she's highly sensitive almost two years ago at the age of 41. She's the mom of two awesome kids (12 and 8), wife to an incredibly patient and understanding man, and an educator for children with special needs.
Melanie and I talk about her journey of self-discovery and how it helped her be able to set boundaries and really take care of herself. Melanie shares how being highly sensitive helps her at work and how listening to this podcast has been incredibly helpful to her (which truly means the world for me to hear).

Being a Highly Sensitive Man
My guest today is James Lawton! James is a proud HSP with an INFP personality type. During the week, he's a chemist by day and a loving dad to three amazing children by night, who continuously redefine his understanding of parenthood in all the best ways. His life's journey, from adolescence through adulthood, has been a never ending pursuit for answers, seeking to understand why he perceives and experiences the world in ways that often set him apart from those around him, especially with other men. It's a journey that has not only shaped his life but has also provided him with profound insights into the beauty of human emotions and connections.
James talks about discovering that he's highly sensitive (20 years ago!), his experiences as a highly sensitive man, and gives tips and advice for other highly sensitive men. We talk about how TV shows and movies affect us, feeling "different" as a child, being a highly sensitive parent and having highly sensitive parents, and the benefits of being a highly sensitive parent to a highly sensitive child.

Self-Care for Highly Sensitive Creatives
On this episode of The Highly Sensitive Podcast, my guest is Stefani Fryzel! Stefani Fryzel (aka DYLN) has spent two decades in the music industry as an artist, songwriter, and music producer. Her work has been nominated for a grammy, featured on the Billboard Chart for Emerging Artists, nominated for radio music awards, and appeared in film and television. She is the creator of “The Songwriter Series'' an online event that offers mentorship
from award-winning songwriters and is the author of the book and host of the upcoming podcast “Self-Care for the Creative,'' which both discuss self-care strategies for people in creative communities.
Stefani talks about how being highly sensitive has helped her as a creator, the connection between creative people and HSPs/empaths, how your mindset can hold you back and how she dealt with this, and how having no boundaries affected her personal and professional life. She also shares a favorite tip from her book and talks about her experience with depression (and shares a skill that helped her during this difficult time).
