Professional football player Omid Nazari was born in Sweden to a Filipino mother and Iranian father, Omid is trilingual and has played for Iran under Carlos Quirosh. In this episode we discuss his experience growing up in Malmo Sweden, his rise to football stardom, where he feels most comfortable and his hopes for his future on and off the pitch. Raised in Surrey England to a Filipino mother and English father, James's upbringing is one of stability and joy. We discuss his approach to tackling the challenges and grief that eventually affected his family including both his parents' deaths and his experiences being raised as an Asian in a leafy London suburb in the 80s and 90s. He eventually found his way to the Philippines, where he and his brother changed the face of Filipino football forever.
