Hi everybody!
Today is the 29th anniversary of one of the most important French composers of the 20th century, Olivier Messiaen's death. In this episode I am talking with the organist, harpsichordist and Baroque music specialist Johanna Soller. We are at the Church of St. Peter's in Munich and talking about the organ, improvisation at church services, Messiaen and his Apparition de l'église éternelle from 1932. Johanna has recently recorded this piece at St. Peter's and we will also hear excerpts from this recording. Please join us!
