In this Episode, host Bhoshaga Mitrran (@bhoshaga) talks to Firdaus Nisha, an entrepreneur, programmer and educator on her remarkable journey in co-founding Ecocentric Transitions, where she made many strides together with her team on sustainability. The most interesting part also revolves around finding creative solutions to problems, as well as thinking ahead on funding, learning from mentors and sometimes even having to just believe in your instincts.

Nisha is an engineer by training and has a background in human capacity development. Her main interests revolve around problem solving based on feedback interactions, user learning methods and user adaptation in regard to behaviour and environmental sustainability. Through Ecocentric Transitions Nisha consults on concept design and develops programmes that focuses on socialising sustainability for communities, be it for school children, resident groups or corporate teams. Nisha and partner Lymun founded Ecocentric Transitions in 2010 with the aim to raise environmental empathy through experiential skill-based workshops and projects. Having the experience of working across Urban Agriculture, Waste Separation and Ecoliteracy projects.

The Ecocentric team is currently delivering and expanding their ecoliteracy programs with developers who champion a climate positive future through community adaptation projects in line with the Sustainable Development Goals. Her repertoire includes Transition TTDI - a resilient community’s movement based in TTDI, and programming for various environmental sustainability carnivals and local conferences.
