PEOPLE BEFORE PROFIT, CHATTING ADHD & RECRUITMENT WITH AIDAN MURRAY

Welcome to the ADHD MEETS BUSINESS PODCAST - It's Episode 5!!!!!!!

We are Leanne and Ross. Today for our fifth episode, we interview Aidan Murray, a lovely man who really cares for his people and that really came across in this interview. He chose a career in recruiting after deferring his university place, and has been passionate about it ever since. In this podcast we cover Aidan's journey to starting his own recruitment company during lockdown. Aila Recruitment. We talk about why he thinks he has ADHD, covering topics from time blindness to walking around the kitchen just to stay focused (we've all been there), structuring his new life, childhood indicators and how having a real passion and purpose for recruiting led him to want to do things his own way. We're really excited to share this episode because he is just at the beginning of his journey of discovery with ADHD, but also, for the record, he is the first interviewee we've had from outside Clubhouse! One of my favourite things Aidan talks about is 'People Before Profit' being a core part of recruitment. That leading with empathy and understanding is something that should always be celebrated, and is one of the great traits common to a lot of us ADHDer's too. I hope you like this podcast, it was really fun to record!

Every week, we will be having a chat about ADHD and creative thinking and the impact both have in the world of business and entrepreneurship. We encourage an environment in which to explore ideas and celebrate differences. We will interview lots of interesting people from all walks of life and share our own special take on ADHD.

If you want to get in touch with us or have any feedback, or even if you want to feature in a future episode, feel free to send an email to hello@adhdmeetsbusiness.com. Don't forget to leave a 5* review, because as ADHDers more dopamine is always welcome :)

On the practical side, we are always happy to help, so have a look on our webpage for more ways to make contact and get support.

Welcome to the ADHD MEETS BUSINESS PODCAST - It's Episode 2!!!!!!!

We are Leanne and Ross. Today for our second episode, we interview the truly effervescent Ruth Marcella, one of the UK's leading makeup artists and another friend from Clubhouse. She has an incredible experience in a great many things, but has recently been focusing on her teaching academy ELLA CREATIVE ACADEMY (along with homeschooling :o). We talk about everything from hyperfocusing in school and how it helped her get through live events, contrasted with the inevitable burnout that follows. We learn how current events are challenging Ruth's ability to hyperfocus, and also how she is finding solutions to avoid relying on it in her business, bringing more balance into her life. We're really excited to share this episode because so much of what Ruth said resonated with us and because we loved recording it.

    IT'S FINALLY HERE... (OFFICIAL TRAILER)

    IT'S FINALLY HERE... (OFFICIAL TRAILER)

Welcome to the very first ADHD MEETS BUSINESS PODCAST - well the trailer anyway ...

We are Leanne and Ross. Every week, we will be having a chat about ADHD and creative thinking and the impact both have in the world of business and entrepreneurship.  We encourage an environment in which to explore ideas and celebrate differences. We will interview lots of interesting people from all walks of life and share our own special take on ADHD.

We both know that immense potential can often be hidden behind confusion, lack of motivation and even depression.  And we have learnt that the hard way. Now we are all about trying new things, not necessarily expecting each one to succeed, but knowing that failure is learning. So we will share what we have 'learnt' too.

We're really excited to finally be launching, and hope you guys enjoy what's to come. If you want to get in touch with us or have any feedback, or even if you want to feature in a future episode, feel free to send an email to hello@adhdmeetsbusiness.com.

Also if this trailer is anything to go by, there are going to be a lot of 5* reviews on the way, don't forget to add yours :)
