Welcome all to the Chicago Suburban Podcast! This podcast will discuss current events, things to do, family activities, "hot topics" within local communities and any other local happenings around town.  We will also interview interesting residents, local business owners and people who work around town who are making a difference everyday.  Feel free to contact me with any interesting content or potential interviews of people you know that would like their voice heard.

This is episode 1 of the Chicago Suburban Podcast.  I was honestly just trying to figure out Garageband and wasn't planning on recording!  The sound isn't great and there is a lot of background noise but it will get better.   I was recording late at night at the firehouse and the room was far from quiet.  

In this first episode I  discuss Covid-19, what I'm seeing as a first responder and future episodes of the Chicago Suburban Podcast.  

I'm Dan Meyers, the host of the Chicago Suburban Podcast.  I've lived in Schaumburg for 20 years with my wife and two boys.  Before living in Schaumburg I lived in Elk Grove Village and Des Plaines...so I've been living in the Northwest Suburbs a long time.  I've been a Firefighter/Paramedic for 15 years and I'm also a Real Estate Investor and Broker.  My main goal of this podcast is to spotlight local people and business around the suburbs and get news out on local topics, current events and discuss all there is to see and do out in the 'burbs!  If you feel you would make a good guest or want to reach out..please do so!
