EP6 : Why People End Friendships?

EP6 : Why People End Friendships?

Not every friendship lasts forever. Despite what we hope to achieve, best friends are not forever. Sadly the close bonds we once shared with people that we once considered a sister often end. Sometimes with drama and sometimes with no drama at all.

    Its life.

In the Age of Social Media, Instagram, and Facebook keeping in touch with your social circle is not easier. It's harder.

People are more lonely in the digital age because social media has diminished our ability to communicate effectively. Young people are spending more time online than interacting with their friends in real life. I prefer real-life interactions but have had many friends who don’t.

In the digital age, friends come and go. I have seen many. Sometimes it makes me sad. In my short 28 years, I have realized friendships fade for a number of reasons. (Kate Conradie)

Listen to this podcast to know about why people end the so-called friendships.

EP5 : Why Social Media Detoxification Matters?

EP5 : Why Social Media Detoxification Matters?

I've been doing social media detoxification for the past 2 years now and I can proudly say that it really helped me define myself in a much better sense. Whenever I feel anxious, it sends signal to my brain that the next phase would be a bit toxic - so might as well, do some damage-control right away (and staying away from the social media is one of the best way to manage it.)

Social media detoxification means a period of time when a person refrains from using tech devices such as smartphones, televisions, computers, tablets, and social media sites. “Detoxing” from digital devices is often seen as a way to focus on real-life social interactions without distractions. It is a best practice to maintain one's sanity - especially during the pandemic.

I hope this episode help you and encourage you to try social media detoxification.

EP2 : 5 tips to let go of an "Ex"

EP2 : 5 tips to let go of an "Ex"

At some point during our past failed relationships (especially those that we thought would last), we caught ourselves crying on the side of our beds and perhaps thinking what went wrong, right? Was it because we're not good enough? Or, was it because they're just completely jerk? Whatever the reasons may be, all we wanted to do that time was to get ourselves out of that situation - the heavy chest pain coupled with endless crying, the sleepless nights, starving ourselves to death and questioning our worth over and over again. Until we realised that those break-ups and the pain would be great tools to achieve a much-better version of ourselves -- that even in pain and suffering we had to go through, there's something better to look forward to. In this episode, I would like to share with you the tips I got from one of the most followed psych-related page on Instagram, Psych Today. They've been on IG for years now and I'm happy and proud to share this platform with this page because more than the mental health tips and everyday learnings that they provide, they help me conquer my own "failed" and "almost-relationship-drama" in the past and remind me that the RIGHT person will come in the most perfect time.

    Enjoy listening.

    EP3 : When self-care becomes power

    EP3 : When self-care becomes power

Every day we heard a lot about self-care. Are we doing it the right way? Does what we buy online, the right products to achieve self-care? Is self-care a myth? These questions often comes out when we dig up the true meaning of self-care. In this age and time, more and more people especially the young generations often viewed self-care as something that only exist on the surface of our skin -- that when our skin feels smooth and fine, it is because we do "self-care". Self-care has become another item on our to-do list, something we have to do in order to feel loved, worthy, healthy, or respected. Self-care is supposed to make us better in the long-term. It’s not supposed to be a quick fix or a punishment. Real self-care requires practice, commitment, and introspection. It requires putting yourself first and getting in touch with what you really need, not just what you really want.

    EP1 : 5 lessons to learn before 30

    EP1 : 5 lessons to learn before 30

This episode was recorded last year (2020) but I was not able to upload it on my channel because I though no one would listen to it. So, I decided to put it on hold and move forward. But today, I feel like this is the right moment to share with you this episode because I know we've been trapped on the same place once (or more than we could imagine). These life lessons are very close to my heart and I believe this will help you remind that life has a lot of magic in store for us. All we have to do is to unravel it, so we can get a moment of complete happiness - a pure bliss.

    Enjoy listening.
