In this episode we kick off the new year discussing what choices we as individuals can make to be better. Co-hosts Hannah and Francisco discuss the idea of privilege and circumstances in which we are born. We question ourselves and our sense of social responsibility that we must uphold, as well as offering our best insights or responses to issues we see around us. Constant questioning, a critically tuned eye, and a hunger for difficult conversation will help us move towards self-improvement and hopefully improvement in the world around us.

In this episode of Table Talk, co-hosts Hannah and Francisco speak with UW third-year Chuefeng Yang. Yang shares their experience after being asked two days before Thanksgiving by UW Housing to move out due to complaints from students, claiming that white people felt unwelcomed based on race. In addition, Yang clarifies the traumatic aftermath of being displaced as a student of color and what they see as the best steps towards reparations for this incident.
