the art of surviving cancer, not once but twice
A raw and unfiltered story of Jagbir Kang, a Punjabi woman, who survived cancer, not once but twice. Not only that, prior to being diagnosed with this horrible illness, she had survived marital abuse.
Sheer resilience is what comes to mind when I think of the amount of struggles she went through one after the other. Her energy and her inner strength shone through every part of her when i spoke to her. It blew my mind that after going through all that she did, how happy she was in the way she showed up.
Despite the storm she went through, she stands tall and proud and owns her story. You've got to tune in!

she lost herself and didn't even know it!
Join us as I chat with Surabhi, my twin (j/k), over a cup of tea. Surabhi shares her story with us on identity loss as a teenage immigrant and how she navigated her way through these years. She talks about the pressure to 'fit in' and living two completely different lives, all while trying to figure out who you really are.
Surabhi and I share so much in common that even after the recording we talked for hours. So I basically call her my twin!
Be that fly on the wall today, grab a nice cup of tea and hit play!
Surabhi Veitch is a physiotherapist and Pregnancy/Post partum coach who is passionate about helping women live their best lives. You can reach her at www.thepassionatephysio.ca or on instagram: https://ww.instagram.com/thepassionatephysio

how she broke the cycle
When you marry someone at will, you step into a life full of aspirations, dreams and desires. But what happens when that marriage slowly starts becoming toxic and abusive? How do you even recognize the signs when you may be in denial? How do you seek help? The thought of getting a divorce and moving forward in life as a single mom is one that is daunting and stigmatized in the community. How do you move past that and see light at the end of the tunnel?
Today I chat with Taneet Kaur, who is a writer and a single mom of two girls, as she tells her story of how she broke the cycle for her daughters.
