#18 7 Crucial Tips For Succeeding In An Interview For UX Design.

In this episode, I'm walking you through acing your UX Design interview and land the job of your dreams.

What is up everybody, my name is Aaron Houghton and this is The UX Disruption Radio, and today I want to share with you 7 tips for succeeding in an interview for UX design.

This is a really important topic because there are so many people who don't know what they're doing when it comes to interviews.

They go into these things not knowing what they should do or say, which makes them look really bad and inexperienced.

So in this episode, we're going to cover everything from what clothes you should wear--to the best questions that will make sure that the interviewer knows just how good of a fit you would be for their company.

Do your research on the company
Prepare a portfolio of past work and be ready to show it off
Dress professionally, but not too formally
Arrive on time with a positive attitude and a smile on your face!
Stay calm and confident throughout the interview- even if it's not going well! Remember: You're there because someone wants to hire you and think that you'll be great for them!
Be confident in what you know about the job and how well you can do it
Make sure that any questions you have for the interviewer are answered before they leave (i.e., when is this position available?) Ask questions about what's expected from employees in this role- don't be afraid to ask! This will help you make an informed decision if this is a good fit or not for you

How To Charge 10X More For Your UX/UI Design Services. You can charge way more for your services if your designs provide more value and generate profitable results for the business owner.
With the exponential increase in design-centric startups, there is no shortage of demand for your UX/UI services. But how do you distinguish yourself from others who offer similar service? One way to charge 10X more than what you're currently charging comes down to one word: value. When marketing and selling a product or service, it's not always about price but instead knowing that value they get out of their investment is a smart decision and will create lasting results.

#16 Secret Junior UX Designer Hack To Gaining Real Experience

When you are just starting out in the world of UX design, it can be difficult to find ways to gain experience. One way you can really pump up your experience is by founding your own company where you are able to leverage a lot more responsibility and take on the role as lead designer. This means rapid growth as a designer and tons of real experience with little restrictions or boundaries holding back what projects you work on which allows plenty of room for massive growth!

Creating your own business allows designers space freedom from any limitations set upon them, meaning they have opportunities available without limits like being restricted about what project will be taken up next, so their creative minds may roam free while also giving themselves access to an endless supply of designing experience.
