Chris Ayer is a singer/songwriter based in New York City. He is a Stanford graduate in the class of 2004. He spent the last few years writing songs and traveling the country playing them for people. His music has a variety of influences: ranging from folk and bluegrass to the philosophy and creative writing classes he took as a Stanford student.

Chris’ first full length album, “This Is The Place” was released in November 2006. It explores the themes of traveling and connectedness to form a song cycle about trying to feel rooted in the world. His love of songwriting began and was fostered at Stanford, and though his recent journeys have brought a variety of experiences, the birth of his themes and explorations was undoubtedly found on the Farm.
