Brian Stegner
Amos 5.1-17
Despite the rebellious hearts of His people, He offers life. This offer is not being made as a reward for good behaviour. They are not being invited to life because of how impressive they are. They are receiving this offer because of God, which invites the question of how can God be just and give what is good to unjust people? -

Peter Smith
Amos 4.6-13
God gave His people many opportunities to turn back to Him. Some of the circumstances were enjoyable while others were difficult. But all were given so that His people might return to Him. But they refused. And often, so do we. -

Amos 3.1-4.5

He always does what is right and is letting His people know what is coming because of how they are living. -

Amos 1.3-2.3
History does not know a true nation of God. Every people group has had different practices that qualify as unjust according to the only one who is perfectly just. In these few verses, God reveals to several nations why He is bringing judgment against them. Some of the reasons for judgment are practices that are celebrated in societies around the world today. The message for the nations was for the time of Amos yet also pertinent for us today. -
God’s Roaring for Justice
Justice for All | God’s roaring for justice
Sunday, April 28, 2024
Peter Smith
Amos 1.1-2
God sees everything that happens and He will bring perfect justice for every wrong that has ever been committed. His words toward injustice are likened to the roar of a lion. He makes those words known through messengers that He empowers to share what is coming.
