Have you ever thought of yourself as a minister or a priest?
Listen to this passage from 1 Peter. This is how Peter describes God followers…

You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.

When Jesus gave His life for the sins of all mankind, He declared that all who believe in Him are now His royal priests. What does that mean?

It means we have the authority to show others the goodness of God. We are filled with His Holy Spirit, we are made new and made clean, and there is no separation between us and God because of Jesus.

As a believer, you have full authority to stand in the presence of God and share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Why not do it today?

During the time Jesus walked the earth, there was a place in the temple where a thick curtain surrounded the most holy place—where the presence of God dwelled.
It could only be entered by the high priest once a year.

But on the day Jesus gave His life as payment for the sins of all humanity, that curtain miraculously tore into pieces.

Because of what Jesus did for you and me—the perfect One, who gave His life for us—there is now NOTHING that stands in between us and God. You can enter His presence any time that you pray to Him.

The sacrifice of Jesus has brought you together in intimate relationship with God Himself. Worship Him and pray to Him. He loves to spend time with you and nothing can separate you from God’s presence.

Did you know that you don’t need a priest, a pastor, or any other kind of leader to make it possible for you to connect with God?
Listen to this amazing passage from the book of Hebrews (the Bible itself)-it says,

We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever…

Long ago, it was necessary to have a priest enter the sanctuary to make sacrifices on behalf of all people. But Jesus became the ULTIMATE high priest! He made the ULTIMATE sacrifice—Himself—to pay for the sins of the world, once and for all.

Jesus is your high priest. He has made a way for you to be completely forgiven and forever intimately connected with God. There is nothing between you and God because Jesus has acted on your behalf to bring you into His presence.

He is your high priest.

In John 15:15, Jesus says this to His followers…
I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.

Isn’t that amazing that the God of the universe calls you His friend? But what about your other friends? Do they know Him?

God’s offer of friendship is for every person on the planet. If your friends don’t know Him, they can!

Since Jesus is your closest friend, why not introduce your other friends to Him? Will you take a moment to pray this with me right now?

Lord, I am blessed to call You my friend, and you are always loving, you are always faithful. Please, God, would You show me how to share the Gospel, so that I could draw other people in my life into this amazing circle of friendship that I have with You? Amen.

How should you pray?
Is there a certain place you should go or specific words you should use?

There’s a verse in the Bible that brings clarity to these questions. It says…

Pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Pray without ceasing…
That means that the place to pray is… wherever you are!
And the best time to pray is…any time!
And the best posture is… any posture.

God wants you to talk with Him through prayer every day, at any time, anywhere. Talk to God just like He is your best friend. Because He is!

His presence is with you always. Whether you’re at church or home. You can have direct access to God in prayer.

Have you ever wanted to share the Gospel but hesitated because it just didn’t feel natural?
Well, I want to encourage you…find a way to share Jesus that feels natural, authentic for you. There is no formula. And each person’s story of coming to know Jesus, each person’s communication style, it’s different. And that’s more than okay—it’s actually good. Very good!

1 Corinthians says,

How strange a body would be if it had only one part! Yes, there are many parts, but only one body.

So that means each of us shares the Gospel in a unique way, and God has beautifully set it up that way because each person who comes to know Jesus needs to receive the Good News in a unique way.

Will you pray today and ask God to show you an authentic way for you, the natural way that you would share the Gospel?
