To assist Detroit’s youth with post secondary & career opportunities,  two Detroit based organizations, Npower and the AV Technology Institute, are offering certification training in the fields of Information Technology  and Low Voltage Electronic Systems Technology with guaranteed paid internships leading to career opportunities.

To help youth identify their voice and improve their self-awareness, InsideOut Literary Arts is seeking to hire Black men to serve as writers-in-residence for Detroit's youth.  In this episode we sit down with Shawntai Brown, Schools Coordinator for InsideOut Literary Arts, to learn more about the initiative to engage Detroit’s youth in literary arts by utilizing Black men as writers-in-residence.
