Kayla is a go-to transactional lawyer for companies undergoing change. She focuses her practice on general corporate matters, including merger and acquisition deals, entity structuring, joint ventures, financing transactions and other business and governance matters. Clients value Kayla’s business acumen in addition to her legal experience. She regularly works with GCs as outside counsel and often serves as the de facto internal legal team for smaller companies. Although many corporate lawyers have a finance background, they may not understand all the practical decisions that occur in the C-suite. That’s where Kayla stands apart: She earned her MBA, has worked closely with executives on corporate strategy and brings a holistic perspective that considers how legal decisions ultimately impact business operations. Kayla serves on the Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association’s Board of Directors as President for the 2022-2023 year. In her free time, Kayla enjoys cheering on her hometown Tampa Bay sports teams with her husband, Matt, and their rescue dog, Palmer.
