Sometimes we think we are ready to receive the promise from God, but often times we find ourselves trying to create the promise ourselves. The promise is just God's way of telling us what he is going to do in our lives. The oath is God's way of announcing that he is ready to fulfill the promise in your life.

The Essence of Faith
In between the promise and the oath is the gap of preparation. God must prepare you to be able to not only receive the promise, but you must also be able to handle the results of the promise.

Answer the Call
You must first answer the call from Jesus when he gives you a promise before he can perform the promises. After the promise comes a walk of faith. In between the promise and the oath is the gap of preparation. It is in the gap of preparation we begin to find the power of God operating in our lives.
