Hear me talk about narrative nonfiction, some recent reads focused around female leaders, and why narrative nonfiction is one of the beat genres you could ever read.

Here’s my review of my recent read, Just Like You, in which a much older woman starts dating a younger man and they both find something they never thought they would in one another. It’s an unconventional love story and worth talking about.

Today we talk about Angie Thomas’ groundbreaking novel The Hate U Give and how it can be used as a guide to educate individuals on the lived experiences of BIPOC. We also discuss how to be better allies in today’s climate and provide resources to continue to learn about how to amplify Black voices.

Lets talk about all of the MANS in Mansfield Park and everything in between. I was surprised by this book because it differed from any other Austen book I've read in that the main character, Fanny, was not the strong and witty female lead we are used to seeing. I believe this makes the book even more interesting in its own way. Listen on to hear about some scandalous and juicy tidbits of the fictional 1700s.
