These are all questions raised in this podcast series by long-time collaborator and noted cyborg clown, Julie Moore. Growing up in Laredo, Texas, Ignacio Valdez often felt like he was different from other kids. As an adult, Ignacio took an alternative route, and got his college degree at age 37. He’s now a special education coordinator, and his past experiences give him a lot of empathy for his students and their challenges. These days he's helping create resilient schools through restorative practice in San Antonio.

As a hospital chaplain, Stephen Robinson’s job is to provide comfort and spiritual guidance to sick patients and their families. He also supports hospital staff. Stephen believes that it’s important to celebrate the good things that happen. “Not putting a silver lining around it, but just to celebrate, and be grateful for the things that do go well. That’s an important part of resiliency, too. It’s not just reacting to the tough things, but celebrating the good things too.”
