A Christmas Carol (Re-Broadcast)
On Christmas Eve 1939, Lionel Barrymore teamed with Orson Welles and the Mercury Theatre for a Campbell Playhouse production of 'A Christmas Carol' on the Columbia Broadcasting System. Welles, himself, served as the narrator. In the "spirit" of the holidays, we present this re-broadcast of our telling of the classic tale by Charles Dickens. The famous story features the miserly, Christmas-hating Ebenezer Scrooge whose heart and life are changed with the help of four holiday specters. Storytelling is a great holiday tradition, so we invite you to gather around with your loved ones and join us for this classic Christmas story!
