Physical and Mental Fitness in Female Bodybuilding

In this week's episode, Elliot is joined by his gym buddy Kristy Graham-Kumabe - wife, mother and international bodybuilding champion. Kristy jumped into bodybuilding at the height of the pandemic and since then has thrown herself into the sport at 120% - winning the 22ms World Natural Olympia and the Physique World Champion, twice. But with all the dedication, time and discipline needed to become an athlete at this level, there has also been sacrifice. Kristy chats to Elliot about the difficulties of working towards her goals while still trying to be a present mother to her three young boys. She also addresses the unique challenges of being a female bodybuilder and the backlash she’s received from challenging gender norms. But with the support of her loving family and pumping up from her gym community and coach, the sky’s the limit for Kristy in the next stage of her bodybuilding journey.
