Have you ever had someone tell you something very exciting and then tell you not to tell anyone? It's frustrating! You want to tell everyone the good news! Why would Jesus not let his disciples tell anyone one of the greatest things to happen in history? It's crazy. But Jesus has good reason and it was good that the disciples kept it quiet.

This was a challenging passage but very powerful and glorious. Trying to describe the GLORY of God is pretty much impossible. Looking at the transfiguration in Mark 9 along with Exodus 33. Listening might bring some goose bumps and make you think about your relationship with God.

A short message, an introduction to Mark 9:2-8. It is the setting up of the story of the Transfiguration of Jesus Christ. And, trying to understand the word, "glory". It is a powerful that is difficult to grasp just like it is to try to grasp all that God really is.

Peter rebukes him and I don't think they really believe him. If they had, then on Sunday after his death on the cross they would have been waiting at his tomb to celebrate. When Jesus announces that He would die he challenges his disciples and everyone at the time that was listening to deny themselves, pick up their cross and follow Him. What was He talking about??

How well do you know yourself. You probably know yourself pretty well. But, you don't know yourself is as completely as God knows you. Do you know God? How well do you know Him. Do you know His story as well as He knows you? Keep trying... Don't quit. It's life changing and death defeating.
