Lisa Willis: surrender as a breakthrough, writing a book, & being the 1st female coach for the NY Knicks

Lisa Willis, UCLA bruin, former WNBA player for the LA Sparks, New York Liberty, & Sacramento Monarchs has transitioned to life after sports making history as the first female coach for New York Knicks franchise, and now is an Associate Product Line Manager at Nike.

Lisa talks about how her transition from player to coach was what lead her to go into motivational speaking and to writing her own book - "When the Buzzer Sounds" which is a guide to transition players from the court to the life after sports. Lisa breaks down Kobe Bryant's footwork as she talks about the game of basketball. Just as easily as she gives her thoughts on James Harden's step back she Is able to delve into the topic of  Role vs. Identity, and understanding how you should embrace who you are in any role that you have. She is a servant leader that is faith driven, and accredits her most recent breakthrough in life to a moment of surrender. We don't settle the score on who is a better 3pt shooter, Lisa or me, but this one will for sure make you laugh, and inspire you to believe in YOU!
