We kick off Season 2 by recapping our first year of language learning and culture adaptation in West Africa. Though this year was full of challenges, God's faithfulness was on full display for us. 

Dr. Don invested his life to help cross cultural servants communicate clearly. He shares some key elements in discourse analysis for clear and accurate translation. He also starts the conversation about the merits of a curriculum called Firm Foundations: Creation to Christ. 

Andi and Joel share their story of first adapting to West Africa. Then Andi shares some language learning principles in her current role as a language consultant. 

Joel McMartin shares from his experience of first adapting to West Africa. He highlights the role of a host church and host family for the new cross-cultural servant to integrate well. 

Mr. Jungle shares from his 25 + years of church planting and training church planters on the role of Biblical doctrine in a church plant. He also shares helpful teaching principles and a framework that Bible teachers can implement. 

Vern and Holy tell their story of the church plant among the "P" people group. Vern shares some essentials for nurturing a baby church into a maturing church. Holy challenges us to consider God's call to missions as being for regular people with varying talents. She also shares some tips from her experience of homeschooling their 5 children.
