Upon their arrival in Jerusalem, God's leaders set forward the work of rebuilding the temple. God's word says that the remnant gathered as one man. They set the example for us. We need the mind of God in order to follow the Lord in unity. And in order for the church to have the mind of Christ, each individual member must get in tune with the heart of God.

God shows us His redemptive plan in Ezra by using a remnant of people who had separated themselves to Him. Polluted people are not going to bring others back to the Bible. Only those who allow Christ to crowd out the things of this world from their lives can be blessed and used of God.

Exodus 28:1-43
The High Priest was a picture of our Great High Priest, the Lord Jesus Christ. The high priest wore garments that showed God's love for Israel. Once a year, the high priest would perform the Day of Atonement, all a picture of Jesus taking our sins and forgiving them and casting them far away from us.

Exodus 25:10-16
The Ark of the Covenant and the mercy seat were important pieces of the Tabernacle. These represented the presence of the Lord among His people. That are also pictures of the Lord Jesus Christ who allows us to approach and have fellowship with God.

The Veil was a divider between the Holy Place and the Most Holy Place. The Veil was a barrier between God and man. The torn Veil symbolizes the ability of every believer, not just a high priest, to approach God through the death of Jesus.
