Life is often unfair and leaves us asking "why?" In verses 1-4 we set the context for Habakkuk's prayerful dialogue with God.

As we follow Jesus' footsteps to Gethsemane, we see both His humanity and His divine sonship on display. We also see the comparative weakness and failure of Peter, James, and John. Jesus submits His will to that of His Father. Through his example, we can learn how to walk the path of suffering in this life and how to gain strength through weakness by depending on the work of the Holy Spirit.

God is doing amazing things in our younger generation! What a blessing to hear from these students and worship with them.

Remembering how God has delivered us in the past is foundational to preparing our hearts as we come to the Lord's table.
