Welcome, Friends. Storytelling has the power to not only create connections but provide universal truths about ourselves and the world. When listening to this podcast, I ask that you honor these stories and the rawness, transparency, and vulnerability that they invoke. Invite them with an open heart and you will see that all stories share a universal message. I pray that each anecdote leaves you inspired to share as the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "It is also charity to utter a good word.” But more importantly, I pray that you allow yourself to find comfort in the good, wisdom in the hardship, and the courage to trust Allah.

    Bending The Knee

    Bending The Knee

Once again in TDS tradition, Cadar opens the season with another personal story. This time it’s a continuation of the first debut episode on TDS called “The WallFlower.'' The story takes place after she’s found a new sense of direction and faith, except now all that she believes in is put to the test. In her first year of university, Cadar learns from experience the entrenched and upheld islamophobic realities that plagues western academia. Until one day everything comes to a head, and, Cadar’s had to make choice for the sake of her academic career & future to either bend the knee or stand ten toes down in what she believes in.

Dada, I Won’t Forget Who We Are

Dada, I Won’t Forget Who We Are

For too long the whole world, and particularly us as Muslims, have turned a blind eye to the horrific and brutal treatment of our Uyghur brothers and sisters. We must remember them, we must say their names, we must hear their stories - so today we bring you two. Subhi and Jewher were raised miles apart, but share one homeland - East Turkestan.

    Up Until The Front Door

It is common knowledge that France has always made it very hard for muslim women to wear the hijab, and this season of Fighting for faith would be missing something if it didn’t have our French sisters. In this episode Loubna Reguig the national president of the EMF (Etudiants Musulmans de France - the French Muslim Students association) sheds light on the challenges faced by Muslim woman who choose to wear the hijab in France and how the French authorities leverage the different principles of the republic to justify their oppressive actions.

Allah is k

Subhanallah, i came across this
Podcast and page. And i followed my feelings and start listen to it. Because i am facing a hardship to in my life. And i Recognise so many things! Subhanallah! I live in the Netherlands, single mom 1 kid. And what i really miss is being there for each
Otter in difficult times. I really would love to be part of a muslim sister/ friend group who share so many things with you. And that you can seek help and support. And i think the reason that we muslims in this time we have more difficulties to get out of a test from Allah. And yesterday i was pondering why and i came to the conclusion that when we are in a hardship,
We should help someone else dealing with hardship so that Allah wilt solve your problems. Now, this world bechame very individualistisc and therefore without even knowing, we become kind of egoistic. In hadith qudsi there is a hadith that Allah will ask us, why didnt you came to visit me when i was sick? And why didnt you feed me when i was hungry? So therefore it is nog only good for us to seek support or just someone to talk to. That is sufficient sometimes. So Allah demands this from us as well. And i remember the time that at least family was always there for you. But now, nobody has time. And all we can do is Reading self help books 😂😂 as you mentioned, their effective advices have all been told to us by our beloved prophet
( pbuh). 2 years ago i was first time in the US In New York. For a course of Deva curl. Since a friend of my and i openend a salon specially for curly hair. But after i came back i had this buren out of a lot of things that i have been test by. And i am still not completly on my feet. Allah called me back after falling back in bad Things. But eventually everything that has happend and was allowed by Allah to happen, worked for the good. And i immediatly felt you when you said: no more dwelling! Haha we dwelled enough! And indeed i feel that the hidaya this time is different than the others. Like, i really took it very serious this time i even thought ( sometimes still ) i al dying and that Allah was preparing me and guiding me. I did and still do everything without help of people. ‘Allah is sufficiënt for you’ is the ayah i thought of a lot. And it became clear to me that i needed seclusion. That is why Corona was perfect timing! I think many rightous people have been given the chance for hidaya the last 2 years by seclusion and working on oneself. I even starten to write a self help book myself! Hahaha 🤣🤣 Allah knows us better then we know ourself. Therefore he knows best what we need. We only have to listen and obey. ( after ofcourse having received sacred knowledge. So i feel with you my sisters! 💓 and good initiative of using the term story telling. That caught my attention! 😁🤗🤗it became a long story as well haha. Sorry 🤭haha i will listen to the other podcasts as well. This was my first. If i can be of help for you. Let me know! I like to help! ( for the sake of Allah ) i love to share my knowledge with the rest of the Muslims. I starter ( was online during Corona ) islam theology studies at the university in Rotterdam. I dont know if you are fimiliar with Holland ( Netherlands). Since it became a hobby and addiction / obsession haha seeking the sacred knowledge. I stood all nights up. So i thought why not see if there is something of a study to do. I found out that i love the youth and i was always hanging around me for babysitting my child and thee looked up on me so i always used that to teach them something about islam. Subhanallah, when you told the story About your brother ( may Allah bring his Rahma upon him) that hé always wanted to talk about Allah with other people, i immediatly recognised myself. And unfortunately a lot of mature people here with islamic background are lacking basic knowledge of islam. My origin is Morocco. We have a lot of moroccan and Turkish people living in the Netherlands. But Also a lot of muslims from other countries. If i finish this master i want to start giving lectures worldwide . The study is in english! They just set up the english program when i started the master, And i could join the class even they started like 2 Months before! Subhanallah that was a big sign of Allah. And like you Said we keep ignoring the signs . And i started to see that Allah had a plan for me. And i want to open a place to guide jouth by giving them lectures on islam and other activities. Our children are the future of this world. And if we loose them, we loose the future! And as you see everywhere the youth thesedays are all addicted to their Phones and shaitan is misguiding them in front of us! And nobody is doing something here. They need us to guide them. But instead of that, we complain about them! Haha while we are responsible 🤗❤️. Ok im gonna stop typing lol 😆. Greetings from the Netherlands! Salem, Hajar

What was life before TDS?!!!

I’ve came across this beautiful, genuine, emotional, relatable, funny and so so full of WISDOM podcast & I started wondering what life was before it started. I feel so connected SubhanAllah, like I can’t even remember tbf. It helped me in SO many ways in the most difficult time in my life. Not only Deen-wise, but it helped me understand the essentials of practicing the religion and the fruits it produces. Like all blessings coming your way in every way possible and sincere dua’s being answered. It also helped me gain more confidence and motivation to just be a better muslima and servant to Allah SWT. May Allah swt reward all of you for your consistency and hard work and make it heavy on your scales. CADAR & MUNA I love y’all for the sake of Allah swt🤍
I PRAY ALLAH SWT KEEPS TDS BLESSING TO GROW AND BECOME A WORLDWIDE SUCCES. Ameeeeeen
