    Dr. Bacon shares her journey in the dietetics profession, discussing what influenced her to pursue a doctorate, the pros and cons she encountered, and the importance of her dissertation topic. She provides a behind-the-scenes look at her experience on the ACEND committee developing advanced practice doctoral standards, and discusses how these standards are related to current Doctorate in Clinical Nutrition (DCN) programs. Dr. Bacon also offers valuable advice on timing and pursuing a doctorate in dietetics, insights on the changes in dietetic internship matching, and her thoughts on the transformative period in dietetics.
