Buddy Trinidad is the guitarist of the Filipino punk rock band, The Betrayed. They were active during the early 80's and were part of a small but passionate punk rock scene in Manila. This era bridged the original Pinoy Rock era of the 1970's heading towards the new decade and subsequent local rock scenes that followed. We talk about how the underground scene of that time and how punk rock was imported to the Philippines. He also talks about meeting all his punk rock heroes when he was a successful pastry chef. Wally Chamsay was the Managing Director of Sony Music Philippines during the mid-90’s to the 00’s. He was responsible for signing Wolfgang, Razorback, Barbie’s Cradle, South Border and Greyhoundz. He was also responsible for giving WG total artistic control to produce the “Semenelin” album. He and Sony Music developed a marketing strategy to successfully promote the band to the whole country and beyond that had never been seen before or since. We talk about how he got the Sony Music job and how he discovered Wolfgang.
