    25. Finding Alignment, Overcoming Limited Thinking, and Ignoring the Noise

In this episode I have a good chat about what it means to come into alignment and how alignment can look different for all of us. Finding alignment is something that doesn't require us to overwork, but how can we get there? Let's talk about it.

In this episode, I dive into what our desire for recognition means and how we can learn to appreciate our own value and authenticity for ourselves. Amanda Seales has been a topic of conversation following the release of this Essence Magazine article: "Op-Ed: It's Time to Admit That Being Liked is More Important Than Being Good at Your Job"

    I also discuss:

    Respectability politics
    Validation in content creator spaces
Networking and likability in the workspace
    Understanding envy and jealousy

    23. Honoring Your Busy Seasons, Navigating Burnout, and Releasing Pressure

This episode is coming straight off of a work trip! I was in Louisiana for the week and didn't actually bring any of my equipment with me. Since I am working on disciplining myself, and sticking to my biweekly podcasting schedule, I recorded this episode to talk about

    Overachieving
Learning how to prioritize the commitments in our lives
Navigating and responding to burnout and
    Comparing ourselves to others

    22. The Myth of Tough Skin, Owning Your Wins and Losses, and Feeling Your Feelings

In this episode I get a little introspective about some recent wins and losses. It's important to understand that just because the wins come it doesn't the losses can't and won't follow. I also get into

    Leaning into your softer side
    Finding safe spaces, and
    Being honest about your weaknesses

    21. Embracing Your Calling, Taking a Chance, and Being Okay with Disappointing Others

    21. Embracing Your Calling, Taking a Chance, and Being Okay with Disappointing Others

Life is about appreciating the journey and not getting caught up on the destination. Recently, I've been reflecting on how I've grown complacent with aspects of my life, my goals, and my professional career. In this episode I get into:

Trusting the timing and calling over your life
    Getting comfortable with disappointing others
Lessons from Victoria Monet's Grammy wins
Understanding God's best versus what other people want for you

We have to have enough belief and faith in ourselves to trust that things are working out in our favor and for our highest good. Even if it takes a minute to see the vision, it's okay. Your life is your own and you are the only one who can live it for you.

Get ready for another great episode!
